Victoria Cottage is ideally located for a great holiday. Just three miles from the sandy beaches of Winterton-on-Sea and Hemsby, it's also within walking distance of the River Thurne, part of the Norfolk Broads National Park. Nine miles from the Britain's second largest sea-side resort of Great Yarmouth, it's also under half an hour from the historic city of Norwich.
This charming cottage offers a good deal of space for you and your family. Completely renovated and modernised, its original charm is still clearly visible from the brick arched fireplace in the living room complete with wood burner through to the high ceilings and cosy dining room.
Victoria Cottage is perfect for a family holiday; two bedrooms sleep 4 people in comfort with the master bedroom having its own en-suite shower room. Downstairs, there's both a living room and separate dining room adjoining the galley kitchen. At the back of the house is the rear lobby, laundry cupboard (complete with washing machine) and a good sized, fully tiled family bathroom. The rear yard has seating and there's an out-house (containing the central heating boiler) for storing bikes & boots after a day's exploring
Lounge
A cosy room with feature fireplace and woodburing stove. Wide-screen TV (with freeview) & DVD player provide the entertainment and dimmable wall lights allow you to vary the mood.
Dining Room
A simply furnished room with oak dining set providing seating for four. A part-open staircase leads upstairs and there's an under-stairs cupboard for coats & boots. Dimable wall lights allow you to set the mood and separately controlled main ceiling lights provide the main lighting.
Kitchen
Your cottage's galley kitchen is well specified with a fitted
electric oven and hob with extractor hood, fridge freezer and microwave, kette & toaster. A washing machine is tucked away in a laundy cupboard.
Bedroom 1 (double)
The
master bedroom at the rear hosts a victorian-style double bedstead and built-in wardrobe. This room faces the rear of the property and gets the morning sun.
A door leads to the en-suite shower room with full-size shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. There's also a shaver socket.
Bedroom 2 (twin)
The second bedroom hosts twin single beds, bedside cabinet and pine wardrobe. This room faces the front of the cottage and gets the afternoon and evening sun.
Bathroom
The
family bathroom is fully tiled and offers plenty of space. Inset halogen spots provide the lighting.
Outside
The rear yard is plesantly finished with seating with various potted plants. Beyond this is the shared rear parking area.
Holiday Cottage Notes:
- Outside space consitsts of a courtyard area with potted plants and bench seating. This is shared with the neighbouring cottage which is a private holiday cottage and rarely occupied.
- Off-road parking is shared between the neighbouring cottages. If off-road parking is important, please indicate this at the time of booking and we will try to provide guaranteed space in an adjacent parking area.
- Stairs. The stairs are quite steep. The cottage is unsuitable for people who would have difficulty in climbing the stairs.
- Heating. The cottage offers full central heating in addition to the wood burner in the lounge.
